JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (March 28, 2014) - In a battle of A-Sun Women's Tennis unbeatens, North Florida emerged victorious Friday, beating ETSU, 4-0, to snap the Bucs' season-best, six-match win streak.
"We just got outplayed today," ETSU head coach Travis Sandlant said. "Doubles was huge for us and we let it slip in a winning position. UNF deserved the win."
The Ospreys (12-4, 3-0) captured the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots, including a narrow, tie-break win at No. 1.
UNF then went on to seal the win by taking the No. 1, No. 3, and No. 4 singles spots.
The loss was the Buccaneers' first setback since Feb. 23.
ETSU will continue league play Saturday, April 5 at 10:00 a.m., in Johnson City. The Bucs are 4-1 at home this season.
