SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Sept. 21, 2014) - Junior Ana Gerbasi (Caracas, Venezuela) defeated top-seeded Ericka Rivero of UNC Asheville to win the White Singles flight title Sunday at the USC Upstate Fall Classic in Spartanburg, S.C.

"It was good for Ana's confidence for her to get a title under her belt in the her first tournament of the year," ETSU head coach Travis Sandlant said.

Gerbasi, the flight's third seed, earned the victory in straight sets, knocking off Rivero, the No. 1 seed, 6-4, 6-2.
