KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 31, 2014) - The ETSU women's tennis team wrapped up Day One of the University of Tennessee Fall Invite Friday. During the day, ETSU took on Ohio State and Kentucky, two teams that finished last season with national rankings.
Lyn Yee Choo (Kuching, Malaysia) squared off with 69th-ranked Gabriella De Santis of Ohio State, splitting sets with De Santis before falling, 6-10, in a third-set tiebreak.
Meanwhile, ETSU newcomers Reginka Nychytailova (Maripol, Ukraine) and Jayde Viccars (Glen Waverely, Australia) had strong showings, falling narrowly in their matches, 3-6, 6-7.
ETSU will continue competition in the UT Fall Invite Saturday, Nov. 1.
