Ma will bring a wealth of international playing experience to the Buccaneers' lineup when she joins ETSU for the 2015-16 season.
"We are excited that Yi-Chi [Ma] has commited to ETSU," Sandlant said. "Her worldwide experience is exactly what we look for in a recruit. She is a very talented player and already has great success on the international stage, winning numerous ITF titles."
Ma, who has been ranked as highly as No. 312 by the ITF (International Tennis Federation), has won eight career ITF junior doubles titles, including the Grade 3 Sarawak Chief Ministers Cup (II).
The Kaohsiung, Tawain, native achieved the No. 4 junior ranking in Tawain. Another career highlight for Ma was advancing to the semifinals of the 2013 National Games in Taipei, Tawain.
