JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 1, 2015) - In the midst of a four-match win streak, the ETSU women's tennis team will look to remain unbeaten in Southern Conference play as the Bucs host Chattanooga Thursday, April 2 before visiting Samford Saturday, April 4.
ETSU, Chattanooga, and Samford are each unbeaten in SoCon play.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
Thursday, April 2 vs. Chattanooga - 1:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 4 at Samford - 10:00 a.m.
GETTING UP TO SPEED
The Buccaneers (10-3, 3-0 SoCon) improved to 3-0 in league play with a 7-0 win versus Mercer Sunday, March 29 at the Bristol Racquet & Fitness Club in Bristol, Tenn.
In the victory, ETSU won the doubles point, in addition to winning all six singles spots.
Lyn Yee Choo (Kuching, Malaysia) extended her team-best singles win streak to seven matches with a victory at No. 1 Singles versus Mercer.
ETSU newcomers Ioanna Markesini (Athens, Greece) and Regina Nychytailova (Maripol, Ukraine) are each in the midst of four-match win streaks in singles play.
OPPONENTS AT A GLANCE
The Chattanooga Mocs (14-2, 2-0 SoCon) will enter Thursday's contest with ETSU riding a seven-match win streak.
Just four of the Mocs' 16 matches have come away from home, with Chattanooga posting a 3-1 mark on the road.
Chattanooga's two conference wins came at home against UNC Greensboro, 5-2, and Furman, 4-3.
Winners of three straight matches, the Samford Bulldogs (8-7, 2-0 SoCon) opened Southern Conference competition last weekend with wins at home versus Furman, 5-2, and Wofford, 7-0.
