CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Oct. 10, 2018) – The 2018 ITA Regional Championships is set for Thursday, Oct. 11 – Monday, Oct. 15 in Chattanooga, Tenn. at the Champions Club. There are 128 singles in the main draw and 64 singles in the Flight B singles. There’s also 64 doubles in the main draw and 32 doubles in the Flight B doubles.

Throughout the draws, 22 teams are competing in the ITA Regional Championships; Austin Peay, Ball State, Belmont, Butler, Chattanooga, Cincinnati, ETSU, Indiana, IUPUI, Kentucky, Lipscomb, Louisville, Memphis, Miami (OH), MTSU, Northern Kentucky, Purdue, Tennessee, UT Martin, Vanderbilt, Wright State and Xavier.

Throughout the tournament, ETSU is represented by seven Bucs that will compete in four different categories. Action for the Bucs kicks off tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 11 at 9:00 a.m. in the Ohio Valley Women Doubles draws.

In the Ohio Valley Women Main Draw, Laylo Bakhodirova (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) earned a No. 9 seed and received a bye. In the Ohio Valley Women Doubles, Bakhodirova and Yi Chi Ma (Kaohsiung, Taiwan) also received a bye after earning a No. 8 seed. Lastly, Raquel Amaro (Caracas, Venezuela) earned a bye after receiving the No. 17 seed in the ITA Regional Championships draw.
