BOONE, N.C. (Feb. 12, 2019) – The ETSU women’s tennis team begins one of nine straight matches on the road. The Bucs will head over the mountain to face Appalachian State on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 2:00 p.m.
ETSU is currently 4-2 and has won their last two matches that they’ve played at home. The Bucs have a 20-11 record in singles and a 7-8 record in doubles. Raquel Amaro (Caracas, Venezuela) leads the Bucs with a 5-1 record at the No. 1 spot. Alejandra Morales (Santiago, Chile) and Andrea Pascual-Larrinaga each have four wins as well. In doubles action, Yi Chi Ma (Kaohsiung, Taiwan) and Amaro lead the Bucs with a 3-2 record.
Appalachian State is 1-1 and are coming off a 6-1 win over Western Carolina. This will be their third straight home match. They hold an 8-4 record in singles and are 3-2 in doubles. Heidi Swope and Maria Jose Zacarias are both 2-0 for the Mountaineers.
