GREENVILLE, S.C. (April 12, 2019) – The biggest match of the year awaits, as ETSU is set to take on the Furman Paladins on Saturday, April 13 at noon. Both ETSU and Furman are 6-0 in conference action and both are eager to capture the 2019 regular season title.
The Bucs are 11-9 and 6-0 in the conference and have won their last four matches. ETSU is 67-44 in singles and 27-26 in doubles. Four Bucs have wins in double figures. Raquel Amaro (Caracas, Venezuela) is 16-4 overall, holding a 9-1 record in the last ten matches. Andrea-Pascual-Larrinaga (Basauri, Spain) has won her last four matches to improve her record to 14-5. Both Alejandra Morales (Santiago, Chile) and Yunuen Elizarraras (Cuernavaca, Mexico) have ten wins on the season. In doubles, Amaro and Yi Chi Ma (Kaohsiung, Taiwan) lead ETSU with an 11-5 record.
The Paladins have an impressive 19-match win streak and are 22-1 overall. Furman is 115-20 in singles and 55-9 in doubles. They are led by Madison Dillon, who has lost just one match all season with a 22-1 record. Julia Adams is 18-3 and Katarina Kozarov is 17-3 in singles action. The Paladins also have four players with ten or more wins. Madison Dillon and Katty Weymouth combine in doubles action and are 16-1, while Julia Adams and Katarina Kozarov are 14-2 in doubles.
