GLASGOW, Scotland (July 31, 2014) – Nearly the youngest competitor in her event, ETSU junior hurdler Dede Edgecombe (Spartanburg, S.C.) raced to a time of 14.04 in the women’s 100 meter hurdles first round on Thursday at the XX Commonwealth Games inside Hampden Park Stadium.
GLASGOW, Scotland (July 30, 2014) – Dede Edgecombe (Spartanburg, S.C.) will continue international competition on Thursday, July 31, in the first round of the women’s 100 meter hurdles as a representative of the nation of the Bahamas at the XX Commonwealth Games.
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (July 25, 2014) – Senior Tyler Stepp (Dandridge, Tenn.) as well as both the men’s and women’s track & field teams earned All-Academic honors, the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced this week.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (May 30, 2014) – ETSU junior sprinter Dede Edgecombe (Spartanburg, S.C.) placed 32nd overall in the women’s 100 meter hurdles with a time of 13.70 on Friday at the NCAA Division I East Region Preliminaries at Hodges Stadium on the University of North Florida campus.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (May 29, 2014) - Senior jumper Tyler Stepp had a standout performance in the men’s long jump with a leap of 7.54 meters to qualify for the NCAA Championships, while freshman sprinter Mike Williams placed 31st overall in the men’s 400 meter hurdles with a time of 52.42.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (June 11, 2013) – During a press conference Tuesday inside the D.P. Culp University Center, the East Tennessee State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics was officially welcomed back into the Southern Conference. In addition, it was announced that ETSU Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Richard Sander has signed a one-year extension with the program.
