Hurdler’s experience in international competition will continue
NASSAU, Bahamas (June 28, 2014) – ETSU junior hurdler Dede Edgecombe (Spartanburg, S.C.) placed third in the women's 100 meter hurdles with a time of 13.56 at the Bahamas Senior Nationals on Saturday inside Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium.
Competing in a field of eight competitors, Edgecombe raced to a third-place 13.56 time; the hurdler's best time since her ETSU recording-breaking performance in early May of 13.48.
With the top-three finish in the event at the Championships, the sprinter advances to either the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland from July 23 - Aug. 3, the North America Central America and Caribbean Athletics Association (NACAC) Under-23 Championships in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada from Aug 8 – 10, or the Central American and Caribbean Championships (CAC) in early July in Veracruz, Mexico. Placement in either of said competitions will be announced at a later date.
