JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 2, 2022) – ETSU women’s triathlon is set to compete in its first ever on campus event as they are hosting the ETSU Aquathlon this Saturday.
The event, which features a 500-yard swim and 2-mile run, will begin at 10:40 a.m. The athletes will start with the swim inside the Basler Center for Physical Activity (CPA), followed by the 2-mile run. The run will start along South Dossett Drive where the runners will turn left on the walking path alongside Jack Vest Drive and loop around the soccer practice fields, taking them near the tennis courts, past Greene Stadium and back down before retracing the route back to the CPA.

Joining the Bucs in the inaugural event are Queens University, King and Lenoir-Rhyne.
The first wave of swimmers begins at 10:40 a.m., with the next three waves following every 12 minutes. The final group starts at 11:16 a.m.

All 10 of ETSU’s student-athletes are expected to compete this weekend, which includes returners Lindsey Batkiewicz (Johnston, Iowa), Izi Belogay (Sterling, Va.), Kayleigh Berg (Johnson City, Tenn.), Abby Church (Chantilly, Va.), Carla Garcia (Madrid, Spain) and Sarah Plant (Chandler, Ariz.). In addition, newcomers Taylor Bartlett (Huntington Beach, Calif.), Delaney Hammill (Columbia, Md.), Gianna Norton (Jacksonville, Fla.) and Meaghan O’Connor (Johnson City, Tenn.) are set to make their Buccaneer debuts.
