Church paces Bucs with 11th place finish

TROUTMAN, N.C. (Sept. 25, 2022) – The ETSU women’s triathlon team competed in the Cal Tri Charlotte on Sunday morning in Troutman, N.C. This morning’s meet was ETSU’s first full triathlon event with swimming, biking and running.

Sophomore Abby Church (Chantilly, Va.) led the Bucs with a time of 1:20:22.7, good enough to finish 11th out of 44 racers.

Sophomore Izi Belogay (Sterling, Va.) finished shortly after Church in 13th place with a time of 1:20:55.5. She was also sixth place among the 17-19 age group.

The Bucs return to action on Saturday, Oct. 15 when ETSU heads to Huddleston, Va. for the East Regional Qualifier.
