Church earns second team All-American status

ETSU Triathlete among nation’s best after national meet

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Nov. 18, 2022) – ETSU triathlete Abby Church (Chantilly, Va.) finished a stellar season by finishing ninth at the national championship, claiming Division I All-American honors this week by the College Triathlon Coaches Association.

Athletes that placed in the top seven at last weekend’s national meet in Tempe, Ariz. were named first team All-Americans, while the 8-14 place finishers in each division receive second-team all-American honors. Honorable mentions are the 15-21 finishers.

The national championship marked Church’s third top 10 finish of the season, doing so in a field of 52 runners with a time of 1:05:51.
