Buccaneer sophomore to make elite race debut

ST. PETERS, Mo. (April 14, 2023) – ETSU sophomore Sarah Plant (Chandler, Ariz.) is set to make her elite race debut this weekend.

Plant, who earned her USAT Elite License last month, is competing in the PATCO Americas Triathlon Cup Elite Race this Saturday in St. Peters, Missouri. The race is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. ET at Lakeside Park.

The race features a 750m swim, 20K bike and 5K run.

This is an invitation only race. These athletes are racing to gain points for placement in the 2024 Olympic Games. These athletes are racing under the Americas Confederation (PATCO) under World Triathlon rules and event formats. This fast-paced draft legal event sets these athletes up for a future path to World Championships and the Olympic pathway.
